Eloïse Labarbe-Lafon's first book, Album, is structured like a true photo album. The images intertwine, echo each other, and form a recomposed memory, blending fiction, souvenirs, and dreams. This sensitive montage draws us into a world that is both nostalgic and melancholic.

The artist's work is based on photographs taken with black and white silver halide film, then hand-colored. The paint, applied with a brush or finger, deliberately reveals imperfections, smudges, and fingerprints – all physical marks that disturb and enrich the image's surface.

The book brings together over 80 photographs taken over the years in France, Greece, Japan, and Mexico, weaving an intimate and timeless visual narrative.
